Northfield, Minnesota is situated along the shores of the Cannon River, directly south of the Twin Cities, and northwest of Rochester, Minnesota. For many years, the 20,000 residents of this marvelous have enjoyed the picturesque and vibrant characteristics of the welcoming community. Both Saint Olaf and Carleton colleges are located within Northfield, which helps create an active, open environment that is very unique to the city.

The bedroom community is just 50 minutes south of the downtown Minneapolis and Saint Paul area. Minnesota State Highways 3, 19, and 246 are three of the main highways in the city. The city has a total geographical area of 8.61 square miles.
