The community of Lake Saint Croix Beach is served by Stillwater Area Public Schools. With the slogan “we learn not for school but for life”, School District 834 serves 8,800 students in 14 different schools. While there are no schools within Lake St. Croix Beach, there is an abundance of educational options in nearby cities.

Afton-Lakeland Elementary, located in Lakeland along the St. Croix River, serves students in grade K-6. A friendly, equipped staff supports each of the 500 students in a caring manner. STEM programs are implemented in this school to enhance Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

There are two junior high schools in the district, one of which is Oak-Land Junior High School. The school serves over 850 students in grades 7-9. In addition to excellent educational options, students enjoy extracurricular activities. Opportunities include sports, orchestra, math club, band, science club, ski club, and many more.

Stillwater Area High School, situated in Oak Park Heights, is the only high school in Independent School District 834. SAHS was designed to provide a campus-like environment in the St. Croix River Valley. Approximately 2,200 students are served in this 139-acre school campus. The school runs on a six period day with two semesters a year. High school students are equipped for college with rigorous academic programs. Advanced Placement courses are offered, and the school emphasizes reading and writing in all curricular areas. Stillwater Area High School offers excellent academics as well as athletic and non-athletic extracurricular options.
