Where Words Leave Off, Music Begins

Tagged: David Olson

Music touches us emotionally, where words alone can’t, I think that’s why I love it so much. When I was three years old my mother had me start violin lessons for almost 11 years before transitioning to the piano and the trumpet. It wasn’t until after decades of ‘forced music education’ where I picked up a guitar during my junior year of high school and the rest became history. Fast forward to studying music in college where I started realizing my passion and love for music wasn’t just fun, it had taught me so much about living a great life.

‘Because’ is the first song I wrote that won an award and was featured on the radio

‘I’m Forever Changed’ was  the first song I ever wrote and recorded many years later. At a CD release party I had local Twin Cities musician Joel Hanson (From PFR) perform it with me.

Here is a song I wrote for Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie when I worked there as a music direct. This video features ‘Love You More’ with the Twin Cities Gospel Choir & famous Twin Cities gospel singer Robbie Robertson back in 2008.

In 2008 I was asked to be in a band called ‘Sacred Road’ that was based out on the east coast. We were interviewed by 98.5 KTIS radio station in St. Paul Minnesota.
