The neighborhood community of Elmwood is located in south-central St. Louis Park in Ward 2. The Elmwood neighborhood is bordered by Highway 7 to the north, Excelsior Boulevard to the south, Highway 100 to the east, and the CP Railroad to the west. Elmwood is one of St. Louis Park’s oldest neighborhoods and is home to many of the cities original homes. Housing in Elmwood was immensely inspired by the railroad in the 1800’s. Elmwood covers a total area of 231.9 acres, which is 12 residential blocks, and is home to nearly 1,100 residents.
