Minneapolis Public Schools promises an inspirational education experience in a safe, welcoming environment for all diverse learners to acquire the tools and skills necessary to confidently engage in the global community. This is the largest district in Minnesota, as it serves the largest city in the state. The teachers are dedicated, passionate and committed to closing the achievement gap and raising the bar for all students. MPS provides the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, College in Schools (CIS), and Career and Technical Education, advanced World Language programs and Advanced Placement (AP) coursework to support our students educational growth. The staff is ready and eager to help families find the right school for their child. They offer popular magnet programs and community schools. Every family has an option to select the school that best meets their needs. This district services 43 elementary schools, 8 middle schools, and 9 high schools.

The local elementary school is Hale Elementary in the nearby Nokomis community. Hale is a sincere and diverse learning community. They take pleasure in making individualized learning and academic superiority the top priority. At Hale, the emphasis is on academic thoroughness with high expectations for all students. Each child obtains an irreplaceable, and quality education in a nurturing environment. Helping children grow and learn is the main passion at this school.

The primary mission of Field Community Middle School is to make sure that all students learn.  To this end, they are dedicated to providing opportunities for all of their students to reach their highest academic, social, emotional, physical, and creative potential. Their provide plenty of extracurricular activities for students in order that they remain occupied by developing emotionally, physically, and socially.

Southwest High School, located within the Calhoun-Isles Community, is a school that is focused on the arts as well as academics. The school strives to meet each students’ needs and prepare them the best they can for post-secondary education. They offer IB, AP, and CIV courses as well as other programs that help students progress their futures

The community is also a part of Richfield Public Schools, or school district 280, which is a school system that believes they can inspire and empower each student to grow and learn. They seek to provide a quality education that allows its students to have all the advantages in college that they deserve from their primary and secondary education. No district will work harder than the Richfield Public School District to help its students develop into who they were meant to be. This district services early childhood programs, two elementary schools, and a middle and high school.

Richfield Early Learning Services serves children from birth to 5 years and their families. Their goal is to provide a wonderful environment for young ones and to allow the student and parent to grow together, as they believe the parents to be the most important teacher. This is an affordable way for families to provide their little ones with a safe place to grow, and the ability to pay is never an issue.

Centennial Elementary is a primary school serving students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. This school understands the diversity within the Richfield community, as they strive to meet each child where they are at in order to engage their unique style of learning. The school applies reading, math, and physical education to its program, along with other curriculums that allow the children to flourish. In addition to academics, Centennial aims to help each child learn how to respect others and live in unity with peers.

Richfield Dual Language School has been designated as a focus school by the Minnesota Department of Education. This school is the newest addition to the public schools in Richfield, and it serves kindergarten through 5th grade. The vision of the Richfield Dual Language School is to prepare all students to become lifelong learners in their local and global communities.

Richfield High School is home to the Spartans and is committed to preparing its students for their post-secondary efforts upon graduating. This is the only high school in the district, and it serves students in 9th through 12th grade. The high school offers a number of AP and preparatory courses. Richfield High School has an excellent, highly trained staff that care about each and every student.
