Most of those buildings were built in the 1960’s. Newer high-end condos were constructed east of the Galleria in 2008. In 2013, construction began on another residential property on the northwest corner of York Avenue and 69th Street West. There is a park and ride service in the northeast corner of Southdale Mall, as well as a new Metro Transit station, making the neighborhood a perfect spot for downtown commuters.
