While the small community of Willernie has no significant parks within the city, residents are conveniently located within minutes of parks in the neighboring city of Mahtomedi. Wildwood Park: This park is situated just 3 minutes from the center of Willernie and has much to offer. This park in Mahtomedi is a neighborhood park laid out over 21.6 acres. Wildwood Park is situated next to Lost Lake, which offers beautiful views as well as a fishing pier. Picnic shelters, picnic tables, and benches are located within the park. Mahtomedi Beach: This park and beach is located just minutes from Willernie. Mahtomedi Beach covers one acre and is on White Bear Lake. Locals take advantage of this park with the beautiful panoramic views of the lake and many amenities. A sand beach with a lifeguard is loved by all ages. Picnic tables and benches are available for a leisurely day at the park. Mahtomedi Beach is also equipped with a restroom building, outdoor shower/spray-off, and a canoe storage rack.
