Willernie, Minnesota is a small town bordered by Mahtomedi on all sides. The community covers a total area of 0.13 square miles and is home about 528 residents. Even with its small size, Willernie maintains a friendly community with much to offer within and nearby.

One event popular among locals is the annual City of Willernie Golf Tournament. Residents meet at Applewood Hills Golf Course in nearby Stillwater for a day of fun. This tournament seeks to bring people together and promote a close-knit community.

Willernie has a rich history and is remembered for Wildwood Amusement Park, which had a very large roller coaster and a Tilt-A-Whirl. Today, Four Seasons diner maintains a glimpse of this history. A outdoor booth is situated in the front, which is a recreation of Wildwood’s Tilt-A-Wheel cars. Residents and visitors alike enjoy this micro-museum of Wildwood Amusement Park that is home to historic photos and artifacts.
Willernie maintains a small town feel while situated in close proximity to larger cities, including Mahtomedi and the Twin Cities.
