City of St. Paul Park: Schools & ISD 833

The City of St. Paul Park, Minnesota is located within the South Washington County School District, which also serves the cities of Cottage Grove, Newport, Woodbury, Afton, Denmark, and Grey Cloud Island Township. The 84 square mile District 833 has a population of approximately 94,000, 17,600 of which attend schools within the district. Within St. Paul Park, there are six schools, both public and private.

Pullman Elementary School, located in St. Paul Park, is one of 15 elementary schools in District 833. Serving children in PreK-5th grade, Pullman has 430 enrolled students. In the classroom, the student-teacher ratio is 15:1. Oltman is one of five schools within District 833 that offers T3, which stands for Transforming Thinking through Technology. Under the T3 program, students use IPads for all school work. Oltman Middle School offers many athletic and non-athletic extracurricular activities. After school clubs are available for all interests. Oltman “focuses on character, relationship building, empathy, and goal setting”.

Hope Christian Academy is a private, non-denominational school located in St. Paul Park. The school serves PreK to grade 12, and seeks to provide “a strong academic program, a good work ethic, and a safe, loving environment”. In addition to exceptional academics, HCA offers a variety of extracurricular opportunities. Athletic activities include basketball, soccer, and volleyball. Other opportunities include band, choir, model rocket club, student council, missions trips, community outreach, and retreats.
