St. Paul Park is spread across 2.99 square miles of land and 0.59 square miles of water. Situated on the Mississippi River, the city offers a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities. With nine parks offering a variety of amenities, St. Paul Park has something for all ages.

Abdella Memorial Park: This park, in a residential area, meets the needs of all ages. Abdella Park has a ½ mile paved walking path perfect for a casual stroll. Children enjoy the play equipment at this park. Many sports opportunities are present, including a re-surfaced tennis court, ball field, and half-court basketball. Abdella also offers a picnic area with a shelter and charcoal grill.

Axelrod Park: Axelrod Park is home to half court basketball as well a ball field. The park is equipped with play equipment, a shelter with electricity, picnic tables, grills, and lighted parking. This neighborhood park is handicap accessible, which offers fun for all abilities.

Heritage Park: Perhaps the most popular park in the city, Heritage offers something for all ages. Sports opportunities include six ball fields, tennis courts, half court basketball, and seasonal football. Heritage Park also offers sand volleyball, horseshoe pits, a badminton court, and pickle-ball court. Children enjoy an excellent playground. In addition, Heritage Park is equipped with a large pavilion with electricity, drinking fountains, bathrooms, benches, picnic area, and grills. A large building is also available for residents to rent for meetings or group events. This park is also handicap accessible, allowing all abilities to enjoy its amenities. Heritage Park is the perfect destination for a leisurely day or a large group event, making it a fantastic amenity for St. Paul Park locals.

Riverside Park: This park is another top spot in the community of St. Paul Park. Riverside Park, situated along the Mississippi River has much to offer. Designed to be a natural area, this park is meant to be left in its natural state and is used as a nature study area. Residents are served with ample parking and enjoy the beautiful wildlife and scenery. This park provides locals with hiking, snowshoeing, and cross country ski trails. Riverside Park is the ideal place to enjoy the gorgeous scenery of the Mississippi River area.
