The city of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota has a very close-knit and dynamic community. With around 13,000 residents, and located just 15 miles northeast from Minneapolis, Vadnais Heights offers the amenities of the big city while maintaining a strong community focus. Finally, during the winter months and holiday season, annual events such as Turkey Bingo and PJs with Santa have become important community traditions for all ages. Both the Vadnais Heights Rotary Club and the Vadnais Heights Lions Club play an integral role in planning and executing events within the city, and residents enjoy partnering with these organizations for community improvement.

There are several unique amenities within the city. The Vadnais Sports Center is one of the local favorites. Featuring year-round athletic facilities, the Vadnais Sports Center is home to two NHL-sized ice rinks and an athletic dome. The rinks are a wonderful amenity for the community, offering facilities that are large enough to accommodate hockey tournaments and to serve as a home for local school teams. Residents can enjoy cheering on local teams or enjoy skating on the ice themselves during open skating times.

The athletic dome is another great amenity, providing turf fields during the winter months. These fields are used for football, soccer, lacrosse, running, frisbee, and more by residents and local teams alike.The Vadnais Heights Commons are a new amenity within the city. A state-of-the-art banquet and reception facility, the Vadnais Heights Commons is a stunning venue for any event. With extra-high, wood-beam ceilings, a warm, inviting fireplace, and space to accommodate over 400 guests, this wonderful amenity is a great addition to the community.

While the city of Vadnais Heights does not have a library, residents are able to utilize the Maplewood Library which belongs to the Ramsey County Library System. Additionally, the nearby Maplewood Mall is another widely-enjoyed amenity.
