Tagged: Community Profiles, Princeton Minnesota,

Green Lake is an active, scenic, Minnesota lake located between the cities of Princeton and Cambridge. As the largest lake in the Isanti County area, Green Lake offers coveted residential homes along its beautiful shores. Residents enjoy their access to the water and the fact that the lake is fully recreational. At 833 acres in size, there is plenty of space for boating, watersports, and fishing. Green Lake is a known fishing destination, with ample populations of bluegill, large mouth bass and walleye. Walleye is the most predominant species of fish, as there are several thousand that live within Green Lake’s waters.  At its deepest point, the lake is 28 feet deep, and over half is less than 20 feet deep.

Green Lake is located about ten miles west of the city of Cambridge, and 8 miles east of the city of Princeton. Residents of the lake have great access to the amenities of these two cities without having to compromise their secluded feel. In fact, part of what makes life on Green Lake so desirable is the fact that it offers a northern Minnesota, cabin-style feel year round, while only being minutes away from the nearby cities of Princeton and Cambridge. Residents are able to find fishing supplies, boating repair shops, restaurants, shopping areas, and other lakeside services in the nearby cities. This fabulous access to great amenities allows residents to enjoy a coveted way of life without having to drive so far out from the Twin Cities metro area. With all of the amenities found within the nearby cities as well as only being about an hour away from the city of Minneapolis, life on Green Lake is a synthesis of serenity and adventure.
