City of Maple Plain: A Brief Overview

Maple Plain, Minnesota is a city that is located on the western part of Hennepin County. This city has managed to continue to grow over the past years, and some of the reasons for this growth include the physical elements of the city. Good soil, many trees, rolling hills and valleys, green meadows, productive farms and beautiful lakes all contribute to the locals appreciation for what this city has to offer. New and large companies are locating to Maple Plain, giving employment to an increasingly large number of people. A friendly community, excellent schools, many places of worship, and roads and highways that connect Maple Plain with nearby towns, also add to the town’s attraction.

The current population is just over 1,800 residents, and the city has a land area of more 1 square mile. U.S. Highway 12 provides access to downtown Minneapolis, which is 20 miles to the east.
