The city of Little Canada, Minnesota lies primarily within the Roseville Area School District (Independent School District #623). The district is home to seven elementary schools, two middle schools, and two high schools. The mission of the Roseville Area School District is to provide, “quality teaching and learning for all…equity for all.” The Roseville Area School District is made up of 7 different communities: Arden Hills, Falcon Heights, Little Canada, Lauderdale, Maplewood, Roseville, and Shoreview. This unique aspect of the School District, allows students to meet and build relationships with students from many different cultures, families, and areas.

Little Canada residents in grades K-6 attend Little Canada Elementary. A 2013 Reward School, Little Canada Elementary is in the top 10% of Minnesota schools for increasing student achievement and academic growth while reducing the achievement gap. The school includes many unique and exciting programs, and is the home of the district’s Dual Language Immersion Program as well as its Setting III Autism program. Students who are struggling in a subject area are given special attention to insure that they are caught up with their classmates. Additionally, students who excel may be eligible for the gifted and talented education program.

Students in grades 7 & 8 attend the Roseville Area Middle School, which actually lies within the Little Canada city limits. With a student body of around 900 students, RAMS prides itself on meeting the academic, emotional, and social needs of every single student. This is accomplished through a mission of knowing each student by Name and Need. When students enter the middle school, they are placed on one of three teams: Pegasus, SuperNova, or Cosmos. These teams allow for close friendships to develop and for students to meet other students who may have attended a different elementary school than themselves. Students will learn through a rigorous and engaging curriculum that will prepare them for high school.

Roseville Area High School, or RAHS, is home to students in grades 9-12. Students entering into the school are given an iPad to use both in the classroom and at home. This integration of technology helps teachers to promote learning through alternative formats. Staff is committed to developing positive relationships with students, setting high expectations, and walking alongside students so that they can achieve success. RAHS offers over 60 different extra-curricular activities and 17 varsity athletic teams for students who want to participate. RAHS is a “AA” school which means they compete in the large-school division, specifically within the Suburban East Conference. Rival schools include Cretin-Derham Hall, East Ridge, Forest Lake, Mounds View, Stillwater, White Bear Lake, and Woodbury.

In addition to the Roseville Area School District schools, a small section of Little Canadaa lies within the White Bear Area School District (ISD #624). Other schooling options within the city include Saint John School of Little Canada, a private K-8 school; Saint John Preschool; and Saint John Eagle Club Childcare.
