City of Farmington: A Brief Overview

Located in the southwest corner of Dakota County, and about 30 minutes south of the Minneapolis, Farmington, Minnesota, is a developing suburb that provides a small town attraction.

Farmington boasts lively and growing businesses, which integrates the contrast of newer commercial development in the same vicinity of the well-established traditional areas. Currently, Farmington estimates to boast a population of approximately 22,000, of which post an above average median household income.  With a median age of 32.4, Farmington, Minnesota is the youngest community in Dakota County, and one of the youngest in the Twin Cities Metro.
