The City of Oak Grove, Minnesota covers 35.16 square miles, 33.85 square miles of land and 1.31 square miles of water. Within the city and surrounding area, there is an abundance of natural areas and amenities to enjoy. Some of the most popular options include:

Lake George Regional Park: Located with the city of Oak Grove it is a 270-acre park that is popular among locals. Within the park, there are seven pavilions available to rent. This park also has a unique partnership with the YMCA to provide day camps for the community.

Refuge Golf Club: Located within the City of Oak Grove, lies the picturesque Refuge Golf Club. Situated on 350 acres of heavily wooded terrain and natural wetlands, The Refuge Golf Club offers one of the most beautiful golf experiences in the metro area. Established in 2001, The Refuge embodies the up-north feel throughout the 18-hole course. The Refuge Golf Club was given 4.5 stars by Golf Digest and was awarded Golfweek’s best #5. Rum River Central Regional Park: Residents of Oak Grove also take advantage of Rum River Central Regional Park, a portion of which is situated in Oak Grove. The park is a scenic 434-acre park on the Rum River, featuring river, prairie, and woodland settings. Rum River Central Regional Park is a popular destination for canoeing, kayaking, biking and hiking. In the park, there is access to the pristine Rum River canoe route. Visitors also enjoy fishing, horse trails, cross country skiing in the winter, picnicking, and play equipment.
