The community of Mahtomedi realizes the importance of quality education with around 2,000 families residing in the city. In 2006-2007, the school boasted a 99 percent graduation rate, 3.4 average GPA, and 24.7 average ACT score. Of the 1155 students that attend Mahtomedi High School, 513 students take advanced placement classes and 80 percent pass the AP test. The school also offers outstanding fine arts, engineering, and world language classes. Athletics are an integral part Mahtomedi High School, with spring, summer, fall, and winter sports teams.
