The City of Lilydale is located in Independent School District 197. All or some parts of Lilydale, Eagan, Inver Grove Heights, Mendota, Mendota Heights, Sunfish Lake, and West St. Paul are served by the West St. Paul- Mendota Heights- Eagan School District. Mendota Elementary School is within minutes of Lilydale. The school serves students in grades K-4 with an emphasis on academics and high expectations. Henry Sibley High School serves students in grades 9-12 from a combination of cities, including all or parts of Eagan, Inver Grove Heights, Mendota, Mendota Heights, Sunfish Lake, and West St. Paul. Henry Sibley is home to outstanding academics programs, which challenge and prepare students for their futures. Each student is set up for success with over 150-course options taught by caring teachers. Advanced Placement, Project Lead the Way as well as College in the Schools, Post-Secondary Enrollment Options, and Seniors to Sophomores programs are all offered.
