Sequoia is a Minnetonka neighborhood located near the intersection of Highway 101 in the southwest corner of the city. Sequoia is a smaller sized neighborhood, consisting of just under 50 single family homes that range from $320,000 to $530,000. House styles in the established neighborhood are primarily ranch and traditional two story style.
Sequoia is close to several of Minnetonka’s finest amenities, including Purgatory Park which lies a couple miles to the west. The park has several recreational amenities such as trails, picnic areas, and picnic shelters. Residents of Sequoia are served by the Hopkins School District. The Hopkins School District serves seven different western suburbs of Minneapolis and approximately 8,000 students in grades K-12. The closest school to Sequoia is Minnetonka High School, which serves around 3,000 students in grades 9-12. Minnetonka High School’s average classroom size is around 20 students and has been recognized as one of the Best High Schools in America by U.S. News, World Report, News Week, and Washington Report. Other nearby schools include Clear Springs, Scenic Heights Elementary, and Primrose School of Minnetonka.
