Although there are no parks open to the public within the exclusive city of North Oaks, there are several nearby that residents can enjoy.

Bald Eagle-Otter Lake Regional Park: Bald Eagle-Otter Lake Park is just 6 miles from North Oaks and is one of the biggest parks in the area covering 862 acres. The park includes a boat launch, fishing pier, dog park, picnic shelters, and nature center. Tamarack Nature Center is the highlight of the park and has over 4 miles of hiking trails through beautiful landscape and a variety of wildlife. Along the Prairie and Tamarack trails several different animals can be spotted including fox, deer, muskrat, minks, geese, ducks, and herons.

Polar Lakes Park: Polar Lakes Park is 4 miles from North Oaks and is great park for residents to enjoy. The park includes baseball fields, soccer fields, playground equipment, picnic shelters, paved trails, and an amphitheatre. Polar Lakes Park is a great place for people of all ages.

Turtle Lake Park: Turtle Lake Park is a lakefront park 4 miles from North Oaks on Turtle Lake. The park includes a boat launch, swimming area, picnic shelters, and playing fields. The picnic shelter includes 12 picnic tables, 2 barbecue grills, and drinking fountain all near the playground.
