South Haven, Minnesota is located 60 mile northwest of the Twin Cities and 20 miles south of St. Cloud. Platted in 1888 when the railroad was extended to the area and incorporated in 1902, the city of South Haven received it’s name because it’s located in Southside Township and is due south of Fair haven Township. South Haven covers a total area of 0.63 square miles and has a population 191 residents. The main routes to access the city of South Haven are Minnesota State Highways 24 and 55.
South Haven is a quiet small town community that offers various activities for it’s residents. One of the most popular places in the area is Fairhaven Farm. Fairhaven farm is a 50 acre fruit farm that sells apples, raspberries, pears, plums grapes and much more. Fairhaven Farm also hosts events like weddings and parties and in the fall has a pumpkin patch, corn maze, and hayrides.
