The Brookview Heights neighborhood derived its name from one of the area’s first developers. Brookview Heights is situated in the Southwest quadrant of the city of Edina. It is bordered on the north by 66th Street, on the east by Highway 100, on the south by 70th Street and on the west by Ridgeview Drive. The neighborhood is easily recognized by its by its winding streets and older trees. Brookview is mainly residential, and its picturesque landscape is made up of rolling hills and the Nine Mile Creek.
Along with most of Edina, the neighborhood was developed mostly during the 1950-1970’s. Brookview is a short drive from Southdale Center, the Galleria, and the Valley View Middle School and Edina High School campuses. Most of the residential space is in Duggan Plaza, which was named for the old farm it was built upon.
