The Royal Oaks neighborhood is located off of Pioneer Road just east of the intersection of Pioneer and Baker Road. This smaller neighborhood has around 30 single family homes that are a combination of ramblers and ranch style homes. House prices range between $280,000 to $430,000 in a neighborhood with mature trees and large lots.

Residents of Royal Oaks are served by the Hopkins School District. The Hopkins School District serves seven different western suburbs of Minneapolis and approximately 8,000 students in grades K-12. Glen Lake Elementary is the closest school to Royal Oaks, located just a couple miles west over 494. The school has around 470 students and a student/teacher ratio of 15, serving students in grades K-6. Other nearby schools include Lionsgate Academy, International School, Eagle Ridge Academy, and Gatewood Elementary School.
