The park reserve is home to a restored prairie. This prairie is a year-round attraction due to the wildlife that it draws as well as the colors that it displays throughout the year. Visitors can potentially see deer, fox, coyotes, Trumpeter Swans, hawks, or bald eagles. In addition to scenic beauty, the park reserve offers miles of trails for horseback riding, skiing, hiking, and geocaching. This park is just a short drive away for Corcoran’s residents.

Elm Creek Park Reserve: The Elm Creek Park Reserve is located in Champlin as well as in the nearby city of Maple Grove. Owned and operated by the Three Rivers Park District, the Elm Creek Park Reserve is the largest park that they own. The park encompasses a massive 4,900 acres filled with just about every amenity one could desire. Amenities include archery, biking, camping, cross-country skiing, disc golf, dog trails, downhill and telemark Skiing, geocaching, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, nature education, picnic areas, play areas, skijoring & dog sledding, sledding, snowboarding, snowmobiling, swimming, and tubing. With so much acreage and activity, the Elm Creek Park Reserve is a wonderful outdoor destination for Corcoran’s residents to explore.

Baker Park Reserve: The Baker Park reserve is located in the nearby city of Maple Plain. It is located directly on Lake Independence and offers 2,700 acres of year-round recreation. Activities available within the park are biking, boating, camping, paddling, cross-country skiing, dog trails, dog sledding, fishing, geocaching, golfing, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and swimming.
