The neighborhood community of Minikahda Oaks is located on the east side of St. Louis Park surrounded by the Wolfe Park neighborhood in Ward 2. The boundaries of Minikahda Oaks is Randall Street to the north, Excelsior Boulevard to the south, France Avenue to the east, and Bass Lake Preserve to the west. Minikahda Oaks is one of the smallest neighborhoods in St. Louis Park covering 29.5 acres, which is 4 residential blocks. The neighborhood was originally subdivided in 1926 with construction of single-family homes continuing until 1980. Today Minikahda Oaks is home to 77 single-Family homes with an average year built of 1947. Minikahda Oaks is an excellent close-knit community where residents feel at home.
Minikahda Oaks looks to provide residents with numerous events and activities throughout the year and they do this through the Minikahda Oaks Neighborhood Association. The
Neighborhood Association was formed in 1948 and is one of the oldest operating neighborhood associations in Minnesota.
