Southwest Edina: Normandale Park

While technically a part of the Southwest quadrant of Edina, the Normandale Park neighborhood is located near the geographical center of the city, and has a population of 1,150 residents. It is bordered on the north by Highway 62, on the east by Highway 100, on the south by 66th Street, and on the west by Tracy Avenue.  This neighborhood possesses a very large hill, probably the largest in the city, and a local park called Normandale Park, with mature oaks, ball fields, a playground and an ice rink.

Most of the 280 homes in the area are classic 1950-1960 ramblers or two-story. There are also a number of historically noteworthy homes on the western edge of the neighborhood, most of which were built by the Lundgren Bros. Normandale Park is in a tremendously convenient location, and offers easy access to Minnehaha Creek, Edina High School, Valley View Middle School, and the northern section of Edina.
