Located 37 miles northeast of the Twin Cities on the Sunrise River in Chisago County, Stacy offers a wide variety of outdoor activities. The area around Stacy, Minnesota was first settled around 1875 and became a city in 1923. The City of Stacy was named after Dr. Stacy B. Collins who was an early settler in the area. The population of Stacy has grown from 143 people in 1930 to it’s present day population of 1,426. Stacy covers a total area of 3.58 square miles and has a population density of 414.8 people per square mile. The main routes used to access the city are Interstate 35 and Historic Highway 61.

Stacy offers a wide variety of outdoor activities to it’s residents, which include boating, hunting, walking paths,and parks. Stacy is home to numerous parks, 2 walking paths, and is within close distance to Carlos Avery Wildlife Nature Preserve. Stacy is a beautiful rural community close to Interstate 35, which allows easy access to the Twin Cities and Duluth.
