The city of Hanover, Minnesota is one of the cities residing on the border of Hennepin County. As such, part of the city is in Hennepin County whereas another section is in Wright County. Home to close to 3,000 residents, Hanover is one of many small cities that dot the landscape northwest of the Twin Cities metro area. With a land area of 5.59 square miles, Hanover embodies a rural, small-town feel. The major road running through Hanover is County Road 19 which connects with State Highway 55 to the south or, eventually, Interstate 94 to the east. Hanover is just 28 miles from Minneapolis, and the wealth of amenities that the big city offers.
