Because of its small size, St. Mary’s Point does not have many outdoor opportunities within the city. However, residents take advantage of amenities in neighboring cities, including Afton.

The park is also home to a visitor center, which offers interpretive displays. Each year about 190,061 people visit Afton State Park to enjoy to beautiful scenery along the St. Croix River.

A neighborhood park in Lake St. Croix Beach that St. Mary’s Point residents enjoy is Riverfront park. Riverfront Park and Beach is located along Lake St. Croix and offers many amenities. A top spot for locals in the summer months is the large sandy beach area. There is also a park area for children to enjoy. Riverfront Park has a pavilion within the park available for reservations.With its convenient lakeside access, Riverfront Park and Beach is a popular spot among locals.
