City of Miesville: A Brief Overview

Located within Dakota County, Miesville, Minnesota, is a small city of just 125 residents. Miesville was established in 1874 by John Mies, and was also named after him. Miesville’s most popular attraction is perhaps its amateur baseball team, the Miesville Mudhens, which is a member of Town Team Baseball.

U.S. Highway 61 serves as a main route in the community. The city has a total area of 1.80 square miles. Although not as close as other cities in the South Metro, Miesville is roughly 45 minutes away from Minneapolis and St. Paul. The city is also close to many other large suburbs within Dakota County. This allows the small community to act as a peaceful haven for its residents, but within close proximity to big city amenities.
