Maplewood, Minnesota is a member of Ramsey County and is located directly east of the Twin Cities. The community is about ten minutes from St. Paul, and twenty minutes from Minneapolis. Maplewood has a current population of around 40,000 residents, and is geographically known for hosting the headquarters of 3M, an extremely successful, international company. Another landmark, although known more locally than nationally, is the Maplewood Mall. With great employment, entertainment, and recreational options, Maplewood offers its residents a wonderful, suburban environment.

The city has a geographical area of nearly 18 square-miles, of which only one-square mile is water. U.S. Highway 61, Minnesota Highway 36, and Interstate Highways 35E, 94, 694, and 494 are six of the main routes in the city. These major roads connect Maplewood to the majority of the Twin Cities metro area, making many of the amenities and landmarks of Minnesota easily accessible.
