City of Golden Valley: A Brief Overview

Golden Valley is a city in Minnesota that is part of Hennepin County. This suburban area is west of the Twin Cities. The city is mainly residential and commercially developed, with a population of close to 21,000 and over 10-square miles of land.

The cities employment opportunities are vast, as it is home to the local NBC station, KARE and the corporate headquarters of both General Mills and Pentair. There are also several businesses in the neighboring cities, especially Minneapolis which is just 15 minutes to the east. Interstate 394, U.S. Highway 169, and Minnesota State Highways 55 and 100 are four of the main routes in Golden Valley. The routes provide the quickest transportation to and from the city.
